A six-year-old kid is missing after he and his mom were cleared out to the ocean while playing in the waves in Zimbali, KwaZulu-Natal.

“NSRI Ballito and NSRI Durban obligation teams were initiated following a solicitation for help from IPSS Medical Rescue on the scene at Zimbali, North Coast, announcing a six-year-old male kid missing in the surf,” the National Sea Rescue Institute said in an explanation in Sunday.

As per the NSRI, the mother was apparently helped to the shore yet the kid disappeared in the surfline.

“Regardless of a broad ocean and shoreline search, no indication of the youngster was found and on Sunday, the SA Police Service, police search and salvage 9 (unit), KwaDukuza city lifeguards, NSRI Ballito and IPSS clinical salvage proceeded in a continuous inquiry activity and they were joined by a private airplane, individuals from Salmon Bay Ski-Boat Club with four private vessels, and local area individuals.”

During the night NSRI coast watchers, nearby security individuals and Ballito and Zimbali people group individuals led shoreline watches.

The quest for the kid is proceeding.
