See the moment Kelly Khumalo Left IdolsSA Viewers Angry:
Viewers finally got to witness Kelly Khumalo‘s star power as she was the guest judge on Idols SA. Her vocals are on another level and viewers cannot keep their mouths shut about them. Her stage presence, breathtaking looks and amazing outfits took centre stage but some viewers think she needs to have her ears checked.
On Idols SA last night, viewers felt as though Kelly Khumalo was a bit harsh towards Berry and advised her to get her ears checked.
@zizipho_nzele said, “Fuuuu**ek Kelly Khumalo for being so negative towards Berry. This girl is far the best vocalist this season. Berryans let’s vote for BERRY…Kelly Khumalo needs to check her ears. Berry is [by] far the best vocalist in that show far better than most singers we have in SA. Crushing the poor girl’s confidence like that?? Very unfair of you.”
Another reckons she is jealous of Berry. @MajesticAud said, “Kelly has some low key jealousy towards Berry. She’s going out of her way to demotivate the poor child. Just not fit to be a judge #IdolsSA.”
Lastly, @TaylorForresta feels heartbroken for Berry, “Berry is probably broken
They didn’t have anything nice to say to her, all of them, especially Kelly Khumalo.”
Here are other reactions to Kelly’s appearance as a guest judge on Idols:
Kelly Khumalo could have happily accepted the “offer” to join the Idols SA judging panel for good, instead of just being a guest judge. This after her friend Somizi Mhlongo was given the boot and producers were looking into finding his replacement.
M-Net said in a statement that they had a mutual agreement to have him off the show, “M-Net and Mr Somizi Mhlongo met to discuss his role on Idols SA in light of the allegations made against him. We have reached a mutual agreement that Mr Mhlongo will take some time off to deal with his personal circumstances until this matter has been resolved. Viewers will still see Mr Mhlongo on their screens until August 22 2021 as the audition shows for Idols SA were pre-recorded.”
A source told Sunday World, “Khumalo will definitely be one of the guests,” a source told the publication. “She is already an M-Net talent and is doing well for the channel.”
But that dream was short lived as City Press reported that Kelly will not even be entertaining Mzansi Magic’s offer, because she is already part of a singing competition on SABC 2 called Stand Up South Africa.
Stand Up SA is a new SABC 2 family singing competition where families battle it out to win R100 000. Hosted by the talented Dineo Langa, it premiered on September 5 and judging the competition show is Kelly, Lorcia Cooper Khumalo and Kurt Darren.
During the shows virtual media launch Kelly said, “I cannot wait for the public to see this. One of the thigs I was looking for as a judge was the chemistry between the families,” she said as quoted by Drum.
