Cassper Nyovest lays Feud with Costa Titch to Rest after lashing him one more time:
The Super Soft rapper was left looking like a person who inherits his friend’s beefs, than a person who was standing up for the “culture.” Costa has been spending a lot of time with rapper AKA after they released their EP You’re Welcome.
AKA and Cassper Nyovest are sworn enemies and it looked as though, Costa wanted to join her friend in hating on Cassper.
This comes after Costa Titch threw some shade towards Cassper for ditching SA Hip Hop and starting a career as an Amapiano musician. Titch told the likes of Cassper to stick with Amapiano and not return to rap when things start to look up again, because they (Costa and crew) are fixing Hip Hop.
Cassper caught his sub and laughed at Costa’s threats but he was left even more amused when he saw Costa performing an Amapiano song in Cape Town recently.
“This broer said he is saving SA Hip Hop Mos. I find him performing a new Piano Song in Cape Town here. Hahaha , hunger will kill you boys!!! Just shut up and make music!!! Skatlao phapa (do not be forward)!!! Hahaha!!!
He then encouraged Costa to do Amapiano because it is proudly SA music and together they have to push the genre to reach global status.
In a lengthy response, Costa hit back at Cassper and clarified what he meant by those tweets. “Nyovi I’ve let you to run with your narrative for long enough now without saying anything, I have no problem with you however, I don’t appreciate how you have made this situation bigger than what it actually is. I have never said I am going to save SA Hip Hop. All I said is that SA Hip Hop is uniting. If you jumped ship, then stay there and let us fix what you broke,” he said.
“What I meant by that is that You keep pushing this narrative of being on either side “I’ll see Hip Hop in 3 years etc.” “If you tell me I’m the greatest I’ll jump on a Hip Hop song again with one of the new kids.” and that’s not right in my opinion.
“I feel you should have the right to do anything you wish and make both genres with a positive attitude without talking down on any of the genres. Also please let’s not forget that SA Hip Hop built your success in the first place. You can do any genre and still push SA music as a whole forward as you have major influence.”
Cassper then laid this little beef to rest and told Costa to stick to his lane as a laaitie (small boy) and do what small boys do – make music and have fun. In his first tweet he said, “You disrespected me blind Costa. You were talking like a big boy. It was unnecessary and you felt like you were on fire, now you can’t take the heat. Ska phapha for no reason cause o ntwana (you’re a small boy.)”
He said he is not a bully, so he will let things be.
